Tag In helps you hand off tasks to family and friends by email. You’re trusting it with details about someone you care for, so here is plainly what we keep and what we don’t do with it.

The short version

What we store about you

We don’t need, and ask you not to enter, things like medical record numbers, insurance IDs, or passwords. Tag In isn’t a medical records system.

Once you send a task, its title and note go by email to the people you chose, and stay in their inboxes. Deleting the task in Tag In doesn’t remove emails that were already delivered, so include only what your team needs to help.

What your team members should know

If someone sent you a Tag In request: we got your email address from them. We only email you about requests they send you, plus a note if a request is taken, cancelled, or due tomorrow after you said yes. We don’t add you to any mailing list. Your reply goes to the person who asked. You don’t need an account, and nothing happens if you ignore the email.

How long we keep things

Cookies

One cookie keeps you signed in (for up to 90 days after your last visit), and a short-lived one remembers your email for 15 minutes while you sign in. Nothing else.

Services we use to run Tag In

These companies process data only to provide their service to us: Vercel (hosting), Neon (database), and Resend (sending and receiving email). Notifications go through your browser’s or phone’s own push service (for example Apple or Google), encrypted so they can’t read them.
